About the Book:

A beautiful and distinguished family.

A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

I previously reviewed Genuine Fraud by the same author and I only got that book because I had heard so much about this one. Apparently, I had not only heard a lot about it, I had read this book before and for the life of me, I don’t remember reading it. I went to the bookstore and couldn’t find any new exciting crime thrillers, so I bought this instead.

When I started reading it, I knew that I had read the book after only a couple of chapters. I knew what the suspense was all about. I knew the ending. I closed the book and browsed the internet to see if a movie was made on it. It hadn’t. Normally I try not to re-read books (Harry Potter does not count here), as I could spend that time reading something I have never read before.

That being said, something still made me keep on reading and I had tears in my eyes towards the end. I knew what was going to happen. I knew what was coming and I still had tears in my eyes. The book is so beautifully written. The dialogue is so simple and yet so powerful. The characters are so flawed and yet so perfect.

The book has a natural flow to it. I did not find the same flow in the other book I read of the same author but this one deserves all the acclaim that it gets. You see some subtle dialogues or comments while reading the book and they make you smile and it is these little things, the finer details that I really love in a book.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes young adult fiction. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading! ~A
